  4. Enter in your e-mail address (not used for solicitation purposes), First and Last Name

  5. A confirmation will appear and you will be placed on the book for that time.

.

  1. Are memberships available?

Although many membership programs seem favorable, none of them guarantee that the barber you
like will remain and will always be available to cut your hair. Also, many memberships do not really offer a
discount.
For example, a $1400.00 a year membership that offers you unlimited haircuts each month with ONE monthly manicure and ONE monthly message included in that membership. None of the memberships include shaves. $1400.00/52 Weeks - $26.92 You must use more than $26.92 worth of services to make it even worth it. If you choose to use any additional services, Hot shave, etc, that’s in addition to the $26.90 a week you’re paying for the membership.

  1. Do you franchise?

NO and WE NEVER WILL!!!

Many barbershops are advertising themselves as “Traditional Barber Shops” yet they are the #1 franchise in the United States. Never has a barbershop been franchised. In most cases the people who purchase the franchise choose to take 50% of the barber’s haircut/shave and expect them to build their own clientele. We believe in our family ownership and will never SELL our name.
  1. Do you have more locations?

Currently our only barber shop location is in Las Olas Riverfront in beautiful Downtown Fort Lauderdale, FL. We currently have several barber shop locations we are in the process of opening up. 1. Is there a difference between Barbers & Cosmetologists?

In the state of Florida there are three different types of licenses available for cutting hair and there is a MAJOR difference between the three.

A) Unrestricted Barber –
1. Able
to use a razor on the skin
2.
Perform chemical treatments
3. Authorize a cosmetologist (in their presence) to use the razor on the skin

B) Restricted Barber-
1. Able to use the razor on the skin
2.
Cannot perform chemical treatments on the hair

C) Cosmetologist
1. Perform chemical treatments
2. Unable to use the razor on the skin (only hair)

Barbers are licensed to use a straight razor within the state of Florida.
It is against State Law for your cosmetologist to use ANY TYPE of razor on the skin.
15. Do you cut women hair?
We DO NOT cut women hair
At the Gentlemen’s Traditional Barber we only accept BARBER licenses. No Cosmetologist license is accepted in our establishment.
